It's amazing....

....how whenever we forget to close the bathroom door, this happens....
"But it's so fun Mommy!"

Hard to believe he's been "out" longer now than he was "in".....

The new Dozer

This new toy is from GG and Papa.... We are learning that Aaron loves anything with wheels.... He can't quite ride it yet, but he loves pushing it around.

Thanks Lee/Daddy!

Aaron has been sick AGAIN this past weekend, (two more teeth last week) and I came down with the flu today also - The kind of flu where you want to throw up when you just picking your head up off the coach.... Arg. I rarely get sick (esp. the flu - besides pregnancy, I think it's been 10 years!) It always reminds me when I'm sick to not take my health for granted....
Warning: graphic photo below of Melissa without make-up:
Anyway, I have to brag about my husband who stayed home from work and took care of both of us today. I was so grateful as I don't know what I would have done without him. It was a big sacrifice as missing a day of work sets him back and makes his week extra busy, but he didn't complain and took such great care of us. Which for someone without the gift of mercy, this is huge - I know because I also lack that gift. =) I think he was a little tired though at the end of the day....
Thanks Lee! We love you!

Aaron's Ipod

Lee's Ipod died and for some reason, Aaron loves playing with it - He slides it across the tile then races after it. At least someone's getting some fun use out of it now.... Stupid thing....

Little Helper

I've been getting some much needed help around the kitchen lately.... As soon as the dishwasher opens, Aaron boogies over to help unload, so I have to quickly unload the knives and put them away. Isn't that nice of him? He also has been interested in pulling himself up and looking into the toilet so I think I'll teach him how to scrub toilets next.

And so it begins

I remember over the past few months everyone telling me to enjoy the infancy time since "before you know it, they are into everything." Since Aaron has got the crawling down now, we are entering that stage, and I honestly can't believe the stuff he finds interesting and wants to grab. I followed him around a few minutes with my camera just to illustrate how busy he is....Yup - you got it.... All of our cabinets have those little white plastic "childproof" thingies on them now.... Now onto the kitchen towels...

We pause here for a short intermission where Aaron gives a few grunts and fills his pants. Now we will continue in a new room with a clean diaper....

This is the cord to my laptop - I don't know what the obsession is with cords, but he loves all of them. Anyway, this is after his mean mommy takes the cord away from him....
I never knew that babies this young could throw tantrums, but um, this one definitely does. In fact, it's rather scary at times.
At any rate, this "stage "does present new challenges of course, but honestly, I feel that Aaron grows more and more content as he gets more mobile. I think he was more fussy when he was a baby because he was frustrated to be trapped in a little body that wouldn't take him anywhere. My mother-in-law tells me that he definitely is a little junior Lee.... Oh boy..... =)

Silly boy

Not sure why, but apparently this is fun to do when you are crawling....
It is always funny to catch him in that position =) He always seems so proud of himself.
