Kiddy pool

Grandma Debbe ran into a big clearance sale at Walgreens so Aaron got a new kiddy pool to play in for the rest of our AZ summer....

The hose was very intriguing....
Even Mommy got in for some fun....
And she even got a special kiss trying to take pictures!

All up in our business

We always have a little someone that is totally obsessed with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that we are doing....
I find myself questioning him often, "Aaron why you gotta be all up in my business?" (because I'm Gangsta like that =) ). It honestly doesn't matter how cool of a toy he has in his own hands, if we are doing something remotely that does not involve him directly, he wants to be part of it - cooking dinner, going to the bathroom, reading our Bible (which we do OFTEN by the way =) ), working on the computer, etc. I would be lying if I didn't admit that it gets annoying sometimes, but for the most part, I remind myself that how he learns and it's cool to watch that little mind put things together....

Great.....

I cannot tell you how THRILLED I am now that he KNOWS he can climb up there.... =)

Engaged!

My widdle baby brudder is officially engaged! We love Sarah and are so happy that she will be officially part of our family - congrats Kyle and Sarah!P.S. The "big day" is still yet to be determined =)

Flexible

We have been really anxious for Aaron to really take off and walk by himself, and though he seems to show all the signs that he is about to, he seems to prefer the easy and faster route of crawling. Anyway, Lee and I both noticed and became increasingly bothered at times by the way Aaron's feet positioned when he would stand and take steps - He tends to stand with his feet pointed out with most of his weight on the inside arch. The picture below shows kind of what we would see most of the time.... (sidenote - his facial expression in this pic is so funny)
Anyway, it's funny when you start thinking/worrying about something being "wrong" with your child. I'm kind of weird in these situations in that I think about the worse-case scenario - for instance, Aaron not ever being able to walk and how I would handle it, what I would do, how I would want to help him through the challenge etc. I know it may sound dramatic and negative, but it just helps me process my worry. At any rate, I am lucky to have an amazing orthopedic surgeon for an uncle and I called and talked to him, and brought Aaron over to his house to observe and poke. His prognosis and explanations were very relieving and almost humorous - he feels that Aaron has super flexible joints (which we have already noticed) and this makes his ankels loose. He will eventually get used to this and learn to balance and stand more firmly, but it just may take him a little while longer to figure things out, so we need not worry - he is fine. =)Anyway, it was all very interesting and comforting.... And it also got me thinking (since we are a very sports-minded family), I heard that Michael Phelps is super flexible.... Interesting =)

Uncle Chad

Aaron's Uncle Chad is in town visiting us this week. He hasn't seen Aaron since Thanksgiving so it is fun to have him to play with!

Music

There are lots of fun musical things to do at Grandma and Papa Bob's house....

Anytime the kids come close to Uncle Kyle's room, they immediately point to his guitar hanging on the wall and insist upon hearing and playing it....

Bombs away

So I was sitting at the computer while Aaron was on the floor playing with his toys, and I hear this BIG FART out of my very LITTLE guy. This, of course, is not so unusual in of itself, but the fact that he was on the tile - well, it made an already loud fart naturally amplified, so he immediately busted into giggles. So of course, I couldn't help but laugh as well which prompted another fart out of him and more laughter. Before I knew it, he was PUSHING as hard as he could to get more farts out to get more laughs out of mom..... It was so funny. Good thing I had brothers - Aaron is already a total BOY. =)

Bounce U

On Thursday night, we took a group of our college students from church to Bounce U, which is a big room filled with those big inflatable things.
We brought Aaron along also - even though he is still too young to totally experience it all fully, he still had fun playing and watching everyone....

Aaron didn't really like the fact that he had to wear socks....

The nice thing for us was that the workers weren't too strict on the rules with our students like they are with younger kids. So if you've been there before, I guess the whole "one at a time" thing didn't really apply to us =) So um, here are some action shots of us all breaking the "rules", as good church kids do....
