18 Months today

As with any milestone, it's always hard to believe how fast they arrive and that the next one is already around the corner. My little baby is really more toddler now than ever - trying to use more words, climbing and running, following directions, asserting his strong will, etc. Our "little" Aaron continues to bring us MUCH joy, growth spurts in patience, and teaches us so much about our relationship with God. We are grateful for the opportunity to parent him, and pray that we do it with much wisdom, love, and grace! Especially if we end up having to spank him.... =) Which, if he is of any relation to Lee and I, I'm sure we will. And I'm certainly sure that when our own parents read this, they will laugh....

What a big boy! It definitely gets interesting trying to figure out what works for you (and for him) in regards to discipline :) Micah and I had laid out a plan and that pretty much went out the window when half of the things (spanking included) didn't work! Ha Ha! We found that with Eli, spanking usually aggravated the problem. Anyway, it's such a journey to figure what will work. And I'm sure each kid (even in the same family) will probably be so different in this area! Praying blessings for your new "phase" :)

Let's stop all this talk about spankings... It's making me squirm! :-)

How time truely flies! Good luck and staying on the same page with Lee will only enhance this fabulous job of parenting! And, I second the finding out what works for each child, spankings didnt work for Samantha.

love this post. we started spanking a couple months ago and wallace has responded SO well. i'm relieved because we had no idea what we were doing and how to introduce it, but i'm so glad we did!

i started a post last week for W's 18 month... but can't seem to get my thoughts organized. can you believe they're already a year and a half old!!?

Hey you! Thanks for checking in on us. :) Your little boy is getting so big! Gavin turns 8 months next week - I can't even believe how fast the time goes. It's so fun to see his next stage and how fun/interactive he gets...but I still miss him little!
